I’ve moved to an interesting new class, COM-232 Desktop Publishing. While early, it’s already fascinating, especially learning about editorial design. While I tend to do elements of desktop publishing in my everyday, its fun to learn some of the tenets and formal aspects of the discipline and learn how to improve and really make my efforts stand out.
For our first actual exercise, we created birthday invitations. Here is my first stab, done in InDesign. I challenged myself for this assignment by using only what I could create within the program. I did not import any images, text blocks or other graphic elements. All you see is what I was able to do with the tools provided in the interface. Enjoy.
